Falcons at a Glance:
Junior Milahnie Perry and senior Madison Smith both lead Falcon scoring, averaging 15.8 and 13.7 points per game. 29.5 combined points per game for Perry/Smith currently stands as the second-highest scoring duo in the league, just behind New Mexico's Viane Cumber/Destinee Hooks.

McNabb's 4.0 offensive rebounds per game currently ranks 20th nationally and leads Mountain West competitors, while only being one of only three players in the country shorter than 6'0" averaging as many offensive boards per game.
Senior point guard Jo Huntimer's 4.3 assists per game and 2.94 assist/turnover ratio (ninth in the nation) both rank second in the Mountain West.
Sophomore Keelie O'Hollaren, through the Falcons' last five games, has averaged .533 (16-30) shooting from the field and 12-22 (.545) from three-point range.
Defensively, the Falcons top the Mountain West in turnovers forced per game (22.33, 16th nationally), turnover margin (+7.05, 20th nationally) and steals per game (11.8, 20th nationally). Madison Smith, sporting 53 steals on the season, leads the Mountain West. Three of Air Force's starting five (Smith, Huntimer, McNabb) rank top eight in steals against the Mountain West with no other program in the league sporting more than one.
In Mountain West games, Huntimer's 2.5 steals per game leads the league, while McNabb's 1.5 blocks per game ranks fifth among conference competitors.
A Historic Start:
Air Force opened Mountain West play in 2024-25 at 10-2, marking its first ever 10-win non-conference in Air Force's Division I history and the first such occurrence since the 1991-92 season. Starting 9-1 on the year with just an overtime loss at Army (Nov. 15), Air Force got off to its best ten-game start since Maj. Danny Fowler's 1982-83 Falcons went 12-1. The Falcons opened 6-0 in Clune Arena for the first time since 1985-86, when Air Force started at home with seven-straight wins.
A Cool Grand:
Combining for 53 points at San Jose State (Jan. 11), Smith and Perry both eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for their respective careers, becoming the 19th and 20th players to do so in Air Force history, and the fourth-such duo to collectively claim the honor in the same season.
Service Before Self:
Jo Huntimer leads Air Force in total assists (91), while currently sporting the second-best assist average in the Mountain West (4.3). 362 career assists currently ranks second in Air Force DI history and sixth all-time (Briana Autrey-Thompson, 2018-22) - a spot in the record books secured in the Falcons' win over Milwaukee on Nov. 28 in Puerto Rico.
Winning Trends:
In all 12 of the Falcons' wins this season, Air Force has:
- Held opponents to less than 70 points (16 consecutive wins);
- Forced more turnovers than opponents (17 consecutive wins);
- Scored more points off of turnovers than opponents;
- Led in the game with five minutes to go (59 consecutive wins in regulation).
Air Force is Undefeated When...
- Matching or surpassing opponents in rebounds (5-0);
- Leading home opponents at halftime (6-0);
- Scoring 70 or more in Clune (6-0);
Out-shooting home opponents from the field (4-0) and from three-point range (5-0).
Completing the Mission:
Since Dec. 21, 2021, Air Force has only lost two games after holding a lead with five minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Both losses took place in overtime, falling that day in double overtime at UTEP, and dropping a 57-51 contest to Army at West Point on Nov. 15 of this season.
Not including overtime games, Air Force has won 59 consecutive contests ending in regulation after holding a lead at the five-minute mark in the fourth quarter.
An Even Dozen:
Air Force has at least 12 steals in 13 of 21games in 2024-25. The Falcons' streak of six-straight contests with 12 or more takeaways to open 2024-25 was the longest active streak in Division I at the time.
Last Time Out:
After a tight contest in the opening half against Utah State, Air Force Women's Basketball found its shot in the second to earn a 78-66 win over the Aggies on Wednesday night in Clune Arena.
Five Falcons closed the game in double digits. Sophomore Keelie O'Hollarenn led Air Force scoring for the second-straight game with 18 points (6-11 FG, 5-9 3FG, 4 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL); Junior Milahnie Perryy earned 17 (6-13 FG, 2-5 3FG, 4 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL); Senior Madison Smith closed with 14 (4-12 FG, 3-9 3FG, 6 REB, 4 AST, 3 STL); Sophomore Jordyn Devaughn scored a season-high 13 (4-9 FG, 3-5 3FG, 8 REB, 1 AST); Sophomore Jayda McNabb contributed 12. Senior point guard Jo Huntimer posted a career-best 10 assists and seven rebounds, one shy of tying a career mark. Wednesday's contest marks the first time this season Air Force has had five players close in double-digit scoring.
The Falcons got out to an early lead as Perry gave Air Force a 5-0 run to start the game. Shortly thereafter, back-to-back three-pointers in the left corner from Devaughn pushed an early 12-2 lead for the Falcons, but consecutive Air Force turnovers proved the launching point for a 12-2 Utah State run to tie up the contest, 14-14, at the end of the first.
Opening the second quarter, a Perry three and McNabb battle at the Aggie rim on the first pair of Air Force possessions pushed a four-point lead, but Utah State responded to tie back at 19-all. Despite efforts by Air Force to pull ahead, the Aggies bought back a tie three times in the second and eventually claimed the lead, shooting 54 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point territory to close the half. Utah State led by as much as seven points, but a combined nine points for both Perry and O'Hollaren, capped by a quick-release jumper at the buzzer by the sophomore, left Air Force down just 31-30 at halftime.
Air Force reclaimed the lead and never gave it back early in the third, as the Falcons went an even 7-14 shooting, as Smith and O'Hollaren combined 6-8 (.750) from three-point range and 21 points. The Falcons tightened down defensively through that stretch, holding Utah State to 2-17 for the quarter, and forcing the Aggies into a scoreless stretch that lasted over nine minutes of regulation and into the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Air Force took off on a 22-0 run extending into the final quarter, to lead by as much as 22 points.
In the fourth, McNabb put up eight points early on, going 3-3 at the Aggie rim and earning a pair of free throws to maintain Air Force's healthy lead; With the game seemingly in hand, Devaughn added seven points of her own to the Falcon tally and punctuating a strong shooting night for the Falcons after converting on a four-point play in the right corner to push a 76-58 lead with two minutes to go.
