COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., - Air Force's Sammi Kinoshita earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week accolades for her four-point performance against Nevada, as released by conference officials on Monday morning. This marks the Falcons' second weekly accolades of the season and Kinoshita's first of her career.
The Wailuku, Hawaii native helped the Falcons to a 4-2 victory over Nevada after recording Air Force's first brace of the season. She entered the match in the 38th minute, and managed her first collegiate goal, a game winner at the 44 minute mark. In the second half of play, at the 71st minute, Kinoshita netted a header to double the Falcons' lead.
Overall this season, Kinoshita has logged 272 minutes of play across 14 appearances, with a trio of shots on goal.
