
Women’s Basketball Opens 2025-26 in Exhibition Against Colorado College

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force Women's Basketball returns to action this week, as the Falcons open 2025-26 with an exhibition against Colorado College on Wednesday evening. Tip off against the Tigers is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. MT in Clune Arena.

Picking Up Where We Left Off:
Air Force closed its 2024-25 season with an 18-15 record, marking the most wins by a Falcon head coach (Stacy McIntyre) in their first season in the program's history. Air Force opened the season at 10-2, earning the program's first-ever 10-win non-conference and best start to a season since 1991-92. The Falcons, earning a seven seed in the 2025 Mountain West Championships, defeated No. 10 Utah State in the opening round before falling in the MW quarterfinals. McIntyre and Air Force bookended the 2025 season earning the program's second-ever bid into the WNIT and hosting a postseason game in Clune Arena for the first time ever.
The 2024-25 Falcons, led on the floor by seniors Madison Smith and Jo Huntimer, scored their most points ever in a single season (2,192), made its most-ever field goals in Air Force's Division I history (787) and scored its most three-pointers ever (221).
Mile-High Trends:
In 2024-25, Air Force, in winning games held 16 of 18 opponents to less than 70 points and scored more points off of turnovers than opponents in all 18 wins; At home, the Falcons were undefeated when scoring 70 or more points (7-0) and out-shooting opponents from the field (6-0).
Over the past three seasons, Air Force is:
29-17 at home;
36-4 when scoring 70 or more points (24-1 at home);
8-1 when scoring 80 or more points (7-0 at home);

CC finished 23-4 in 2024-25, going 15-1 in SCAC (Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) play and winning 12 straight conference contests to close the regular season. The Tigers, ranked 25th in the final Division III national rankings, fell in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament after making its second-all-time bracket appearance. The Tigers return nine players from their historic 2024-25 roster, including two garnering postseason All-SCAC recognition (Kayla Mackel, Isa Nelson).

Senior guard Milahnie Perry is currently 10th on Air Force's all-time scoring leaderboard (1,260 career points) and is 174 points removed from the #1 spot. In consecutive seasons, Perry scored the third and fourth most points ever by a Falcon – figures which rank first and second in Air Force's Division I history (1996-current).
