U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Following a three-game road stretch to open the season, Air Force Women's Basketball brought winning basketball back to Clune Arena on Saturday afternoon, scoring a 67-54 win in their first-ever meeting with the Manhattan Jaspers.
Senior Milahnie Perry and junior Jordyn Devaughn finished with a game-high 17 points; Jayda McNabb contributed 10 points (season high) and a team-best nine rebounds. Devaughn's 17 points and four three-pointers both mark career highs. Boasting 1,300 total points for her career, Perry climbed into ninth all time in Air Force scoring, with eighth place now in sight (Amanda Williams – 1,314 points, 1984-88).
Air Force and Manhattan were tied at 15-15 at the close of the first quarter. The Jaspers led by as much as five points in the opening minutes, but an 8-0 Falcon run fueled by a pair of three-pointers for Devaughn and freshman Bhret Clay brought Air force back into the fold.
The Falcon defense bolted down in the second quarter, holding Manhattan to just seven points to close the half to Air Force's 20. The Falcons forced Manhattan into 11 second quarter turnovers, generating as many points in the process. Air Force held the Jaspers without a field goal for the final eight minutes of the half, allowing the Falcons a 35-22 halftime advantage.
Air Force had a slow start to the second half, allowing a Manhattan 15-2 run. The Jaspers pulled within a score twice, but Air Force managed to retain its lead.
The Falcons found their shot late in the third quarter, pushing 8-0 run through the final minutes of the third quarter and into the fourth to get Air Force back in front at 53-43.
The Jaspers managed to cut their deficit back within seven points early in the fourth quarter, but Air Force held Manhattan at arms' length throughout the remainder of the game, as timely treys from both Keelie O'Hollaren and McNabb halted late momentum from the opposition. The Falcons kept Manhattan (0-4, 0-0 MAAC) from finding a basket for the final three minutes of the game to give Air Force the win in its 2025-26 home debut.
