Scouting the Colonials
Robert Morris is 3-9-2 overall and 3-2-1 in the AHA for seventh place with 11 points. Early in the season, the Colonials were swept but the current No. 1 team in the nation (Michigan) and lost and tied on the road at Notre Dame. RMU opened league play with a pair of wins over Niagara at home. Last week, the Colonials earned five of six league points on the road at Mercyhurst. Tanner Klimpke and Ryan Taylor are tied for the team lead with nine points each. Charlie Schenkel has started 13 of 14 games in goal and has a 3.07 GAA and a .896 saves percentage with one shutout and a 3-8-2 record.

Series vs. RMU
Air Force and Robert Morris have played 47 times and Air Force holds a 25-17-5 in the series that began in 2004. Air Force took five of six points from RMU with a 4-2 win and a 3-3 overtime tie (AF won the shootout), Feb. 21-22, in Pittsburgh last season. Air Force then defeated RMU, 4-3 in double overtime, March 1 at Cadet Ice Arena in an AHA first round playoff game. Air Force is unbeaten in the last five (4-0-1) games against RMU. The Colonials' last win was in 2020, a 4-2 win at Cadet Ice Arena. AF is 14-10 vs. RMU at the Cadet Ice Arena. The last two games have gone into overtime. Thirteen of the last 16 have been decided by two goals or less.
