Women’s Basketball Takes on Utah Valley in Orem

Air Force Women's Basketball, looking to build momentum ahead of the start of Mountain West play, draws a Saturday afternoon contest with a familiar foe, facing Utah Valley at 3 p.m. MT in Orem.

Air Force (4-4, 0-0 MW) led Wright State in field goals made (19), free throws made (18, season high) and attempted (23), rebounds (49, season high), points off of turnovers (11), second chance points (four), bench points (12), points in the paint (28) and blocks (three). The Mortar Between the Bricks:
Jayda McNabb has been a steadying force for the Falcons throughout her years at the Academy. As a sophomore, McNabb averaged 7.9 points per game in 2024-25 and earned six double doubles, leading the Falcons in rebounding while finishing ranked second in the Mountain West on the offensive glass.
This season, McNabb currently ranks third in the Mountain West in rebounding (8.25 rpg) and ranks 7th nationally in offensive boards (4.8)., while also ranking third against league players in blocked shots per game (1.00). McNabb has earned two double-doubles this season and is averaging 7.9 ppg., while shooting .521 from the field.
A Boost from the Bench:
Freshman pair Bhret Clay and Jordyn Devaughn have opened 2025-26 in convincing fashion, providing a substantial boost from the Falcon bench. Clay, in her first eight career games, leads Air Force in three-point production, shooting .375 to date on 12-28 shooting. On the defensive end, Clay also matches Perry for a team-best 2.1 steals per game. Devaughn, Air Force's second-highest scorer to open the season, enters December with four double-digit outings to open the year.
The Rubber Match:
Saturday afternoon in Orem marks the third meeting between Air Force and Utah Valley in a single calendar year. In 2024-25, the Falcons split in their pair of games with the Wolverines - Air Force won a 76-58 nonconference tilt with UVU on Dec. 4, then drew the Wolverines again in the opening round of the WNIT, falling in the postseason contest, falling 70-64 (March 21).
