Falcons Split for Three Weekend Meets

The Air Force track and field will head off in three different directions this weekend (Feb 14-15) for a busy stretch of meets to wrap up the regular indoor season. Members of the distance squad will represent the Falcons at the Husky Classic in Seattle, while select athletes will compete at the Jarvis Scott Open in Lubbock, Texas, and the rest will head into Colorado Springs for the Mountain Lion Open.

MEET INFORMATION
The Husky Classic will be held at Washington's Dempsey Indoor in Seattle on Feb. 14-15. Tickets are $10 per day and can be purchased at the ticket booth located outside the southwest corner of the track. The meet will be streamed on RunnerSpace and live results will be available via Pacific Northwest Track & Field Officials.

AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
Backed by a pair of Top 20 placements from Texas Tanner, two Falcons are listed among the NCAA Top 25 after the Feb. 7-8 weekend of competition. Tanner is ranked No. 11 in the shot put (63'7") and No. 16 in the weight throw (73'0½") following his record-setting day at the Ted Nelson Invitational, while Morgan Glaser is listed 22nd in the high jump after her season-opening clearance of 5'11¼" at the Wyoming Power Meet.
SQUAD GOALS
With a combined distance of 73.55 meters, the quartet of Texas Tanner, Cooper Stroka, Massimo Grisotto, and Arden Jenkins are ranked No. 21 the Feb. 11 edition of the USTFCCCA #EventSquad Rankings – which are determined by the cumulative season-best marks from a team's top-four athletes in the national descending order list. Air Force is also ranked within the top 25 for 3000 meters, as Zach Ayers, Max Sannes, Josh Razo, and Tanner Lindahl are listed 25th with a combined time of 32:20.36.
RICHARDS NABS WEEKLY MOUNTAIN WEST AWARDS
02-11-25 | Following a strong collegiate debut in the heptathlon that ended with the seventh-highest total in Air Force history (5249 points) and a new Freshman Class Record, Brayden Richards picked up two weekly honors from the Mountain West on Feb. 11, as he was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week and the Men's Freshman of the Week.
WHAT'S ON DECK
Air Force is off from competition next week, as they prepare for the Mountain West Indoor Championships, which will take place Feb. 27-Mar. 1 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico.
