Falcons Head to Annapolis for USAG Collegiate Nationals

The Air Force men's gymnastics team returns to action this weekend, as it travels to Annapolis, Md., for the USAG Collegiate Nationals. The Falcons will look to defend their title at the annual event, will compete in the team finals on Friday, March 28, and the individual event finals on Saturday, March 29.
MEET INFORMATION
The two-day USAG Collegiate Nationals, with a lineup that features Air Force, Army West Point, Navy, Simpson, Springfield, and William & Mary, will take place in Annapolis. The team and all-around finals will take place at 2:00 p.m. (ET) on Friday, March 28, while the individual event finals will be at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 29. Results will be available via the virtius scoring system (direct links are available on the Falcons' schedule page).
STARTING ROTATION
Air Force is slated to open the competition on the pommel horse and rotate through still rings, vault, parallel bars, high bar, and floor exercise. The other starting event/team combinations include floor exercise (Simpson), still rings (Springfield), vault (Army West Point), parallel bars (Navy), and high bar (William & Mary).
SCOUTING THE FIELD
Navy is the highest-ranked team in this weekend's field, holding a No. 8 spot behind a four-score average of 312.033. William & Mary is also listed among the top-10 (No. 10, 311.167), while Army West Point (309.392), Springfield (306.100), and Simpson (295.533) are listed 13-14-15 to round out the national standings. Individually, Maddox Pabellon of Army West Point is ranked seventh with a four-score average of 14.050, while William & Mary's Luke Tully and Navy's Brian Solomon are listed fourth (73.883) and fifth (72.800), respectively in the all-around.
AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
The Falcons boast a pair of top-10 gymnasts in the latest NCAA pommel horse standings, as Patrick Hoopes is ranked third (14.550) and Jack Matlock is listed eighth (14.017). Erich Upton is currently ranked third in the all-around behind a four-score average of 77.533, while holding top-20 rankings on the parallel bars (No. 13, 13.492) and vault (No. 16, 14.117). As a team, the Falcons are ranked 11th overall, with a four-score mark of 310.967, while ranking sixth on the pommel horse (53.375) and ninth on the parallel bars (51.958).

The Falcons return to the Academy next Saturday (April 5), when they welcome California, Oklahoma and Stanford to Cadet West Gym for the 2025 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. Action is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. (MT) and tickets can be purchased online at AFTickets.com.
