LUBBOCK, Texas – The Air Force women's 4x400-meter relay clocked the fifth-fastest time in Academy history this afternoon (Feb. 14), as a small contingent of the track and field team wrapped up competition at the Jarvis Scott Invitational in Lubbock. The relay was one of two Air Force Top 10 performances to take place during the final day of action at the Sports Performance Center.
The quartet of freshman Eleanor Borchard, junior Allison Fernstrom, sophomore Ella Pears and classmate Sarah Reynolds combined for a time of 3:46.97 – the fifth-fastest time in program history – as they placed within the top half of the field (17th). With today's race, Fernstrom has ran a leg on three of the five-fastest 4x400-meter relays in Air Force history.
Sophomore Asher Jenkins accounted for the eighth-fastest 200-meter time in Academy history on Saturday, as he completed the oval in a personal-best time of 21.22. Jenkins (18th) was one of two Falcons to place within the top 20 of a field that included over 130 sprinters, as senior Jettason Rose posted a time of 21.06 to finish 11th.
Freshman Max McFarlane recorded a career-best clearance of 5.34 meters (17'5¼") to finish sixth in the "A" section of the pole vault and move into No. 12 on the Academy's all-time standings, while a career-best, runner-up clearance from junior Tanner Woodring (5.04 meters, 16'6½") led the Falcons to two of the top-four clearances in the 18-vaulter open section (sophomore James Vogel Jr. / season-best 4.74 meters, 15'6½").
Elsewhere, senior Texas Tanner and sophomore Morgan Glaser earned third-place finishes in their respective events, as Tanner recorded a distance of 18.30 meters (60'9½") in the 27-thrower shot put and Glaser cleared a season-high 1.78 meters (5'10") to finish as the top non-Texas Tech athlete in the 21-jumper event.
The Falcons return to action on Feb. 26-28, when they travel to Reno for the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships. The 2026 championships will mark the first time that the Reno-Sparks Convention Center will host the annual conference meet.
