SEATTLE – Headlined by several stellar turns around the track at Dempsey Indoor, the Air Force middle distance runners wrapped up action at the Husky Classic this afternoon (Feb. 14) in Seattle. Juniors Cam Bodine and Anna Harden led the small contingent of Falcons on Saturday, as they accounted for some of the fastest 800-meter and miles times in Academy history.
Bodine posted a career-best time of 2:06.87 to register the fastest 800-meter finish by a Falcon since 2014 and move up to No. 2 on the program's all-time standings, while Harden vaulted up to No. 3 in the Academy's mile rankings. With her time, Bodine won her heat by more than one second and finished 13th in the full 50-runner event. Harden, less than 24 hours removed from clocking the eighth-fastest 3000-meter time in program history, knocked nearly seven seconds off her previous best in the mile to improve 22 spots to the program's all-time standings.
Harden was one of two Falcons to come back from an Air Force Top 10 time in a long distance event to impact the program's all-time standings in the mile. Senior India Jones, who posted the fifth-fastest 5000-meter time in program history last night, made her debut on the Academy's mile standings (No. 13) with a 4:52.27 finish.
The men also had a strong outing in the mile, placing a trio of runners within the top 20 of a 95-man field. Junior Dominykas Remeikis clocked his second sub-4 (3:59.86) to finish seventh in the race, while seniors Ben Scheller and Ethan Ashley finished 18th (4:00.63) and 20th (4:01.71), respectively. Ashley's finish was a personal best and vaulted the fourth-year runner into No. 11 on the Academy's all-time standings.
The Falcons return to action on Feb. 26-28, when they travel to Reno for the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships. The 2026 championships will mark the first time that the Reno-Sparks Convention Center will host the annual conference meet.
