COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the third time this season and in consecutive weeks, Air Force gymnasts junior Maggie Slife and sophomore Alyssa Bigler shared space on the weekly Mountain West honors list in week seven of competition, the league announced on Tuesday. Slife swept all awards, scoring the Mountain West Gymnast of the Week title and Specialist of the Week recognition on vault, bars, beam and floor. A pair of excellent finishes on floor for Bigler earned her Mountain West Co-Floor Specialist of the Week status with teammate Slife.
In Air Force's second-place finish at Mizzou on Friday evening and a record-breaking win over San Jose State and UC Davis on Sunday, Slife scored 39.450 and 39.575, respectively, both good for a seventh and eighth all around title this season. Slife's set of results at both Mizzou (Vault - 9.850; Bars - 9.900; Beam - 9.825; Floor - 9.875) and San Jose (Vault -9.825; Bars - 9.900; Beam - 9.925; Floor - 9.925) led the Falcons to a top-seven all-time finish in Columbia (195.675), followed by Air Force earning its highest-ever score (195.675) on Sunday in California.
Bigler, earning a 9.875 at Mizzou and a 9.925 at SJSU to share the podium with Slife, scored her sixth MW top honor in 2026 and third top floor finish in the conference.
The collection of honors for Air Force continues to mount, with Slife's running total sitting at 28 this season and Bigler earning her sixth. Slife collects her 17th-straight Gymnast of the Week honor and seventh-consecutive Bars and Floor Specialist accolades. Slife currently ranks eighth in the nation as an all-arounder, sixth nationally on bars and 22nd on floor. Slife, Bigler and senior Kylee Greene hold the top three positions in order as Mountain West all around gymnasts in 2026.
