COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A historic 2026 season for the Air Force Women's Gymnastics team is deserving of an equally substantial haul of end-of-year accolades.
Announced by the Mountain West Conference on Friday afternoon, an extensive list of honors secured by the Falcons is highlighted by the selection of junior all arounder Maggie Slife as Mountain West Gymnast of the Year, and a conference Coach of the Year nod for program head Jennifer Green.
Maggie Slife – MW Gymnast of the Year, Vault/Bars/Beam/Floor Specialist of the Year, First-Team All-MW (All Around, Vault, Bars, Beam)
The undisputed top gymnast in the league in 2026 and now the two-time reigning Mountain West Gymnast of the Year, Slife was additionally named Specialist of the Year in all four disciplines and a Mountain West First-Team selection in each to boot. Slife is now the first Mountain West gymnast to secure the top honor in consecutive seasons. Sweeping all four Specialist titles in 2026, Slife is also the only MW competitor to have ever won multiple specialist superlatives in a single season. Slife's Gymnast of the Year recognition marks the fifth time the honor has been bestowed upon an Air Force gymnast in the program's history; Slife is the first back-to-back Gymnast of the Year since Abbey Rogers earned the honor in 2008 and 2009 (MPSF).
Jennifer Green – MW Coach of the Year
Earning her first career top coach award and now being the first Air Force gymnastics coach to receive the honor, Green has facilitated a meteoric rise for her Falcons which has Air Force 33rd in the nation and in position to potentially earn its first NCAA regional invite since 2002. In 2026, Air Force claimed a share of the Mountain West regular-season title – a program first.
To date, Green's Falcons have reset Air Force's all-time best score on four separate occasions this season. On March 14, Air Force scored a 197.150 in its home finale, securing the Falcons' first-ever 197-plus finish and the highest score ever attained by a MW program.
The Falcons finished 2026 with an 8-1 record inside West Gym, marking the winningest season at home in the program's history.
Alyssa Bigler – MW All-Around/Beam/Floor First Team, Vault Second Team
Now a back-to-back All-MW first team selection in the all-around, Bigler ranks 33rd in the nation and second in the MW as a four-discipline gymnast. Bigler also falls in at second place on both beam (9.865) and floor (9.890). On both beam and floor, Bigler scored 9.900 or higher five times, setting career highs on both scoring a 9.925 on Feb. 14 and Feb. 22.
Kylee Greene – MW All-Around First Team, Floor Second Team
Greene has hit her peak in her final season as a Falcon gymnast, earning her first career All-MW honors, bringing her career total to four after earning a pair of All-MPSF second-team nods on beam in floor in 2023. Greene has scored three successive 9.900s in each of the Falcons' last three meets, earning career bests in both beam and floor. The soon-to-be second lieutenant has earned finishes of 8.825 or higher in all four events this season and 9.850 or better on floor on six occasions in 2026.
In total, Air Force amassed 11 all-conference honors in 2026, earning the most by any Mountain West program in 2026 while tying the program record for most in a single season (three times – 2012, 2013, 2022).
