Zeiler leads Falcons on second day in Oregon

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Freshman Ben Zeiler led the Air Force golf team on the second day of the Bandon Dunes Championship, Monday, March 9, at the Pacific Dunes Course in Bandon, Ore.
Zeiler shot an even par 71 in the second round, making five birdies on the day. He is tied for ninth overall in the tournament with a 141 (-1). Junior Eli Huntington shot a one-over 72 in the second round and is in sixth place at 139 (-3). After 36 holes, senior Ted Davenport is at 147, followed by senior Brooks Morrell (154) and senior Eric Liveringhouse (157). Junior Carson Baker, competing as an individual, is at 151.
Oregon State leads the field entering the final round at 544 (-21). Oregon is second (554) and SIU Edwardsville is third (563). Air Force is tied for ninth place at 581 (+13). The Falcons shot 288 in the first round and 293 in the second round.
The final round of the Bandon Dunes Championship begins at 7:45 am PT on Tuesday, March 9, in Bandon, Ore.
