JUNIOR YEAR | 2016: Competed in three meets...clocked a personal-best 8K time of 26:25.1 to finish 17th out of 219 runners at the Woody Green Invitational and help Air Force to the Division I team title...added a top-25 finish at the Rocky Mountain Shootout (25th, 26:55.2)...clocked a 5K time of 15:49.4 at the Colorado State Invitational (51st).
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2015: Participated in two meets...posted a career-best 8K time of 26:31.3 to finish 42nd out of 233 runners at the Woody Greeno Invitational...also placed 42nd at the Rocky Mountain Shootout (27:03.1).
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2014: Competed in two meets...clocked a career-best 8K time of 27:01.10 at the Rocky Mountain Shootout...finished 16th at the Woody Greeno Invitational, following a time of 27:03.10.
HIGH SCHOOL: The Classical Academy...three-time medalist at the Colorado Cross Country Championships...also claimed eight medals at the state track and field meet...total includes one state championship (3200-meter run) and five second-place finishes...11-time state qualifier in track (four times in the 3200-meter run, three times in the 1600-meter run, twice in the 800-meter run and twice as a member of the 4x800-meter relay)...three-time state qualifier in cross country...two-time all-league selection in track...also claimed two all-league selections in cross country, including the Runner of the Year...received the school’s Most Valuable Runner award four times...named to the Nike Southwest XC Regional Team on two occasions (All-Freshman Team, All-Sophomore Team)...earned eight total letters...also earned a varsity letter in basketball...received the team’s Most Inspirational Player Award...lettered four times in academics...five-time academic all-state selection.
PERSONAL: Full name is Conner Nathaniel Wilburn...nickname is “Django”...son of Derrick and Renee Wilburn...has one younger sister and one younger brother...majoring in management...future plans include becoming a pilot...named to the Athletic Director’s List...serving as squadron’s security, safety and anti-terrorism EXPERT!...hobbies include not swimming, hosting a trash-talking podcast with Zac Petrie and motivating Andrew “Tweedle” Milliron to succeed at levels he didn’t think possible...taught “youngsters how to survive in the wild” by working Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) over the summer...also flew planes, flew roller coasters and dunked on LeBron...would like to add that “this season is dedicated to the late, great DJ Johnson”...member of Cadet Squadron 02.
