FRESHMAN YEAR | 2026: Competed on the vault in four meets…scored a career-high 13.300 in collegiate debut at the All-Academy Championships…matched that score in the next meet to place third at home against the Rocky Mountain Mavericks...also competed on the floor exercise and high bar once.

BEFORE USAFA: Graduated from Stevenson High School…competed at the club level for Gymkhana Gymnastics Club…coached by Ievgenii Bogonosiuk and Alex Kadar…member of the team that finished third at the 2025 Men’s Development Program National Championships…won the pommel horse and claimed top-five finishes in the all-around (third) and on the vault (fifth) at that meet…finished seventh in the all-around in the junior division of the 2025 Winter Cup.

PERSONAL: Full name is Devin Xavier Gopaul…son of Jason and Nicole Gopaul…father was a member of the football and basketball teams at the University of Toronto…has one older brother, Tai, who is a 2026 graduate of the Air Force Academy and former member of the Falcons’ gymnastics team…planning to major in aeronautical engineering…future plans include becoming a pilot…named to the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List…currently serving as a squadron supervisor…born in Canada…hobbies include music, being outdoors, and traveling…also enjoys tomfoolery…favorite event is the high bar, because “it’s the closest thing you’ll get to flying”…completed the powered flight program over the summer…also took part in the Cadet Warfighter Advanced Course…member of Cadet Squadron 22.
