AIR FORCE HIGHLIGHTS

Mountain West Champion, Outdoor 4x400-Meter Relay (2022)

JUNIOR YEAR | 2022-23: Member of two all-conference relay teams…equaled the fourth-fastest 100-meter time in Air Force history during a 10.46 performance at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships…used that time to finish fifth in the finals…first moved to No. 7 on the all-time standings after clocking a then-best time of 10.50 at the Beach Invitational…matched that mark in the conference prelim…tied for the 12th-fastest 200-meter time in Academy history (21.31) to finish fifth out of 61 runners at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate…won the Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational with a wind-aided time of 21.33 (+3.3 m/s)…ran on the 4x100-meter (second) and 4x400-meter (third) relays that earned podium finishes at the MW Outdoor Championships…the 4x100-meter relay combined for the fourth-fastest time in Air Force history (40.13) at the conference meet…also ran on 4x1 teams that won the Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational, Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and Air Force Twilight Open…competed in four meets during the indoor season…clocked a career-best 60-meter time of 6.91 at the Air Force Collegiate Open…academic all-conference selection.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2021-22: Member of the 4x400-meter relay that claimed the Mountain West title…ran the second leg of the team that posted a winning 40.42 at the MW Outdoor Championships…also ran the second leg of the squad that clocked the third-fastest time in program history (40.12) at the Jim Click Shootout…scored for the Falcons in both the 100-meter (fourth, 10.56) and 200-meter (seventh, 21.79) at the conference meet…that 100-meter time is the ninth-fastest mark in Academy history…first recorded that time during the MW qualifying round…clocked a career-best 200-meter time of 21.39 at the Air Force Twilight Open…competed in the 60-meter dash six times during the indoor season…posted a personal-best 6.94 in the finals of the Invitational at the Peak meet…academic all-conference selection

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2020-21: Competed in six meets…raced the 100- and 200-meter events during three outdoor meets…clocked a personal-best 100-meter time of 10.86 in outdoor debut at the Jerry Quiller Classic…posted a wind-aided time of 10.69 (+2.3) at the Aztec Invitational…also ran a career-best time of 21.96 in the 200-meter dash at that meet…clocked indoor-best marks in both the 60-meter (7.05) and 200-meter (22.25) races at the Air Force Collegiate Open…academic all-conference selection.

HIGH SCHOOL: Regis Jesuit High School...two-time all-state honoree in track and field...runner-up in the 200-meter dash at the Colorado 5A Championships in 2019...Continental League champion in that event...recorded prep-best times of 10.62w in the 100-meter dash and 21.77 in the 200-meter dash...member of the school’s football team...first-team all-conference selection as a junior and senior...served as team captain in 2019...three-time academic all-state honoree.

PERSONAL: Full name is Jackson Thomas Connelly...son of Michael and Ellen Connelly...has a twin brother...majoring in economics...future plans include becoming a pilot or working in the finance field...hobbies include working out, fly fishing and hunting...paternal grandfather and great-grandfather played football at Notre Dame...great-grandfather also ran track at ND and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II...maternal grandfather served in the Army in Korea...member of Cadet Squadron 14.
