Andrew Eddington enters his first season as assistant coach alongside head coach Jennifer Green in the 2020-2021 season. Eddington joins the Air Force staff by way of a head coaching position at Peak Athletics in Colorado where he mentored and developed numerous collegiate athletes.
While coaching at Peak Athletics, Eddington initiated the Junior Ninja program and the yearly NCAA Prep program. Under his guidance, Peak Athletics produced a multitude of state and regional champions and saw over 30 team members ranked in America’s Top 100.
In 2007, Eddington served as the Women’s Program Director of Alamo Gymnastics Center in San Antonio, Texas. While coaching at Alamo Gymnastics, he helped develop Junior Elites and several TOPs National camp qualifiers to include one Junior Elite, two TOPs Diamonds, eight National TOPs qualifiers and three National Camp invitees.
Prior to coaching at Alamo Gymnastics, Eddington served as the head coach a small boys program in Las Vegas, Nevada-- a team that has since become the top-ranked program in Las Vegas. Boys from the program became the original cast for Cirque Du Soleil’s “The Beatles Love”. During his tenure, he oversaw the training of gymnasts who went on to successfully perform in more Cirque shows as well as compete on the NCAA Division I platform.
While serving as the head coach of the Las Vegas based program, Eddington started his first company fabricating his own gymnastics training equipment. His patents went on to sell on worldwide market. He was also an artist in developing ariel acts for shows while also competing as a rock climber. He was a course tester for American Ninja warrior for four years, competed in the NNL circuits and qualified to NNL Nationals.
Eddington earned a men’s gymnastics scholarship to the University of Oklahoma where he helped the Sooners to a Big 8 Championship title and an NCAA National Champions runner-up in 1997. After completing a religious mission, he was awarded a second scholarship to Brigham Young University where he competed alongside American Olympian, Guard Young, before BYU dropped its gymnastics program in 2000. Eddington has a degree in Kinesiology and is a certified Personal and Group Trainer.
Eddington resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his wife of 19 years, Brenda. Andrew and Brenda are parents to three amazing children, Kyla, Breven and Rebecca. Eddington enjoys rock climbing, fly-fishing, wake boarding and obstacle running
