Friday's meet at Mizzou will be broadcast and available to watch on ESPN. Sunday's tilt in San Jose will be free to watch on the Mountain West Network and aired locally on NBC Sports - California. In the Rankings:
Air Force currently ranks 40th in the nation, good for 3rd among Mountain West teams (Vault - 44th; Bars – 36th; Beam – 40th; Floor – 38th). The Falcons' standings on bars and floor are both good for second in the Mountain West.
More than a Hot Start:
The 9-3 Falcons opened 2026 at 6-1 after a pair of home wins and a second-place finish at the New Hampshire quad on Jan. 18. The Falcons have compiled a 6-0 start to the season in West Gym following a record-breaking 195.800 win in their last home meet.
Last Time Out:
A fourth-place finish does little to tell the story of Feb. 14 for the Air Force women's gymnastics team, as the Falcons closed on another top-three all-time finish and a multitude of program records, scoring a 195.750 at the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth.
Scoring a 9.900 or better in all four events on Saturday, junior all-arounder Maggie Slife earned her sixth all-around title this season, finishing with an all-time program record 39.650 – good to eclipse her previous benchmark set at NCAA Regionals last season (39.500). Sophomore Alyssa Bigler closed the evening with a fifth-place, 39.225.
Air Force opened the evening scoring 49.000 on floor, matching the Falcons' season high. Slife ended with a 9.900, earning a share of third place and her fourth 9.900 in the last five meets. Bigler hit a 9.825, and senior Sarah Willis scored a 9.800, good for her second 9.800 or better finish in 2026 and seventh for her Falcon career.
The Falcons posted a 49.150 on vault to score a team program record and just the third-ever 49-or-better Air Force finish on the apparatus. Slife and Bigler both tied the all-time Air Force individual vault record, each scoring a 9.925 and a share of first place. Senior Kylee Greene and junior Olivia Raife both earned a 9.800, tying Greene's season high and resetting Raife's career best.
Next, Air Force finished with a 48.800 on bars. Slife's second 9.925 of the night led Air Force in the event and earned a piece of third place. Junior Chelsea Boyer ended her showing on bars with a 9.750, tying her season best. All-arounders Bigler and Greene both finished scoring a 9.700.
Closing the night on balance beam, the Falcons earned a 48.800. Slife (9.900) and Greene (9.800) both topped the scoresheet for Air Force, with Slife leading the way with a fourth-place finish.
This Week in the Awards:
Air Force Women's Gymnastics planted its flag on all of the weekly Mountain West top honors for week six of competition. Falcon gymnasts Maggie Slife and Alyssa Bigler earned a spot on all five top awards for Feb. 17, with Slife being named Mountain West Gymnast of the Week and Specialist of the Week in all four events. For the first time in 2026, Bigler was named Co-Vault Specialist of the Week, earning a share of the award with teammate Slife.
Slife scored an Air Force and Mountain West record 39.650 at the Metroplex Challenge on Feb. 14 against No. 6 Georgia, No. 10 Stanford and No. 20 Cal on Feb. 14 in Fort Worth, surpassing her own all-time 39.500 established at NCAA Regionals in 2025. The junior went 9.900 or better in four events, topped off by scoring a pair of 9.925s on both vault and bars. Slife's vault finish was good for a share of first at the meet with sophomore Bigler's 9.925 to earn Co-Vault Specialist of the Week honors with her Falcon teammate (Vault – 9.925; Bars – 9.925; Beam – 9.900; Floor – 9.900). As a whole, Air Force closed out its showing at the Metroplex Challenge with a 195.750 – a score good for the program's third-highest all-time score.
The collection of honors for Air Force continues to mount, with Slife's running total sitting at 23 this season and Bigler earning her fifth top conference award in 2026. Slife collects her 16th-straight Gymnast of the Week honor and sixth-consecutive Bars and Floor Specialist accolades. Slife currently ranks seventh in the nation as an all-arounder, fifth nationally on bars and 19th on floor. Slife, Bigler and senior Kylee Greene hold the top three positions as Mountain West all around gymnasts in 2026.
