Kelly's first season with Air Force proved a monumental one. The Falcons finished ranked 36th nationally, earning their third-highest final ranking in the program’s history and best since 2002. On March 14, in Team 50’s home finale against Fisk University, Air Force put a bow on an epic Senior Day scoring a 197.150, marking not only the Falcons’ first-ever 197-plus finish, but also a Mountain West first.
The 2026 Falcons ended their season with a program-best 8-1 home record and qualified as a team for NCAA regionals, the first for the Falcons since that historic 2002 season. Junior gymnast Maggie Slife, the repeat Mountain West Gymnast of the Year, became the first-ever Falcon to represent the Academy at the national championship, qualifying as an individual all-arounder.
