Falcons Fall to Third-Ranked Sooners

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Air Force men's gymnastics team dropped a 210.150-171.650 decision to No. 3 Oklahoma on Friday, Jan. 20, at the Howard McCasland Field House in Norman, Okla. The Falcons, who posted a team-best 33.000 on the vault, finished second to the Sooners in every event.
Sophomore Brian Boardman and junior Kurt Antonio earned the team's top finish in a pair of events. Boardman took the team's top scores on the pommel horse (7.000) and parallel bars (7.450), while Antonio took top honors on the floor exercise (7.550) and still rings (7.600).
Freshman Andrew Terrell led the team on the vault with an 8.600. He was on of four Falcons to clear the eight-point plateau. Sophomore Tyler Sickles led the team on the high bar with an 8.100.
The Falcons are off until Feb. 3-5, when they travel to West Point, N.Y., to take service academy rival Army.
