AFA's Hajner named AHA Player of the Week

USAFA, Colo. - Air Force junior center Jeff Hajner was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week for his performance in a two-game league sweep of Sacred Heart, Nov. 21-22. Hajner, from Las Vegas, Nev., had three goals and three assists for six points as Air Force beat Sacred Heart, 8-1 and 7-1. He had three points in each game. On Friday, he scored the game-winner and had two goals and one assist. He had one goal and two assists on Saturday. In the series, Hajner won 26 of the 31 faceoffs he took, including 14 of 15 in Friday's game. Hajner has 12 points (5-7-12) in 12 games this season, including nine points in his last three contests. The Player of the Week honor is the first of Hajner's career. He was twice named AHA Rookie of the Week his freshman season. The weekly honor is the sixth by an Air Force player this season.
Air Force is 12-0 overall this season and 10-0 and in first place in the AHA. The Falcons are ranked 11th in the nation in both the USCHO/CBS College Sports and USA Today/USA Magazine national polls. Air Force is No. 10 in the InsideCollegeHockey.com power rankings. The rankings are the highest ever for Air Force in these polls.
The Falcons host No. 3 Colorado College on Friday, Nov. 28, at 7:05 p.m. at the Cadet Ice Arena. Air Force then travels up I-25 to faced No. 9 Denver on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 7:07 p.m. MT.
