Lamoureux named National Player of Month

USAFA, Colo. - Air Force sophomore center Jacques Lamoureux was named Hockey Commissioner's Association National Division I Player of the Month for October.
Lamoureux, a sophomore center from Grand Forks, N.D., has scored a point in every game this season. He leads the nation in goals (11), points (19), power-play goals (7) and game-winners. He scored eight goals and had 15 points and was a +11 in seven games in the month of October. In the first game of November, he scored a hat trick and added an assist. Lamoureux has been named the AHA Player of the Week twice this season and was also named the AHA Player of the Month.
Air Force is 8-0 overall this season and 6-0 and in first place in the AHA. The Falcons are ranked 14th in the nation in both the USCHO/CBS College Sports and USA Today/USA Magazine national polls. The ranking is the highest ever for Air Force in these two polls. Air Force is off until Nov. 14-15 when the Falcons travel to Worcester, Mass., for a two-game league series with Holy Cross.
