Falcons Receive USAG National Championship Rings

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Members of the 2010 Air Force men's gymnastics team received their USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championship rings on Saturday, Oct. 30, in an on-field ceremony during the first half of the Air Force-Utah football game at Falcon Stadium. Air Force received the rings, after claiming the program's first-ever USAG national team title in March.
Receiving their rings were head coach Kip Simons, assistant coach Chuck Schweiss, volunteer coach Dave Mickelson, USAG national all-around and parallel bars champion Nash Mills, USAG national vault champion Devin Menefee, 2010 team captains 2Lt Garrett Canter and 2Lt Brennan Wolford, gymnasts Dan Klimkowski, Derek Kvedar, Matt Thorne, Aaron Zaiser, Jacob Houder, Kyle Mefford, Travis Myers, Chase Nobles, Tory Brown, Alex Jessop, James Okamoto, Nick Owen and Joel Uptmor and team manager Jared Tomaszewski.
The quest to defend their USAG national championship title begins on Jan. 15, when the Falcons open the 2011 season hosting the annual Rocky Mountain Open at the Academy's Cadet West Gym.
