
Air Force Drops Road Dual to #23 New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. – The Air Force women's gymnastics team dropped a 196.050-193.125 road decision to No. 23 New Hampshire this evening (Feb. 24) in Durham. Backed by a runner-up finish from freshman Anna Salamone, the Falcons posted a season-high team score of 48.600 on the uneven bars.
Salamone matched her career-high of 9.775 for the third time to finish in a three-way tie for second, while senior Kara Witgen matched her season-high of 9.750 to tie for fifth.
Witgen also paced the Falcons on the floor exercise (fifth, 9.800) and scored a 38.350 to finish third in the all-around. Sophomore Riley Hill tallied a 9.775 to finish fifth on the balance beam, while junior Jamie Lewis and sophomore Mariana Murphy placed within the top-half of the 12-gymnast field on the vault. Lewis equaled her season-high of 9.750 to tie for fourth on that event, while Murphy tied for sixth with a 9.700.
Air Force closes out its East Coast road swing on Sunday (Feb. 26), when it travels to Bridgeport, Conn., for a dual meet against the Purple Knights.
