
Women's Hoops Takes on No. 20 Minnesota, Sunday

Air Force women's basketball will try to knock off the undefeated Gophers, Sunday at 3 p.m.
AIR FORCE at #20 MINNESOTA: The Falcons travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to take on the 20th-ranked Minnesota Gophers, Sun., Dec. 2, with a tip-off time slated for 3:00 p.m. CT, in Williams Arena. Sunday's game will mark the third meeting between the programs.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Air Force is 0-2 in the all-time series against Minnesota
- The series began in 2002
- The last meeting was in 2012 at Minnesota. Air Force lost, 46-81

-One of the most decorated players in women's basketball history, Lindsay Whalen was announced as the new head women's basketball coach at her alma mater beginning in the 2018-19 season.
-Four-time WNBA Champion with the Minnesota Lynx, two-time Olympic gold medalist and three-time All-American at Minnesota.
UP NEXT: The Falcons return home to the Academy to take on service academy rivals, Navy, Dec. 7. Tip off in Clune Arena is slated for 4:30 p.m. MT. The Falcons and Mids will be meeting for the 15th time with Navy leading the all-time series, 11-3.
AIR FORCE AT A GLANCE: Air Force is led by a pair of young guards in Kaelin Immel and Briana Autrey, who average 13.8 and 12.9 ppg, respectively. Immel is shooting .500 from downtown while Autrey shoots .531 from the field. Junior Kassady Huffman, who leads the team in rebounds (8.7 rpg) and blocks (14), averages 8.0 ppg in seven starts this season. Sophomore guard Emily Conroe averages 10.4 ppg while clocking the second-most minutes on the court (28.0 avg/mpg), only behind Immel who averages 28.8 minutes.
Autrey's freshmen teammates, Riley Snyder and Haley Jones, have already made significant contributions early in their career. Snyder has four double-digit scoring performances and averages 7.3 ppg-- she is the only freshman to have started in every contest this season. Jones averages 6.0 ppg and has been consistent on the boards (5.0 rpg), splitting her season total with 20 offensive and 15 defensive boards.
As a team, Air Force shoots .606 from the line, .3386 from the field and .321 from the arc with a +6.1 scoring margin. The Falcons have out-rebounded opponents by 5.7 boards per game. The last time Air Force has four wins in November was the 2010-11 season.
LAST TIME OUT: Air Force snapped an eight-game Northern Colorado losing streak, defeating the Bears, 69-57, in Clune Arena, Wednesday evening. The win marks the Air Force's first over UNC since 2008. The Falcons improved to 4-3 on the season, snapping Northern Colorado's three-game win streak and knocking them down to 3-3.
Freshman front-runner Briana Autrey led the Falcons with a 20-point performance while also adding four steals and two assists to her stat sheet. Autrey has three double-digit scoring performances this season and averages 12.9 points per game. She hit a game-high seven free throws.
