ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Air Force dropped a 67-59 contest to Navy, Wednesday evening in Alumni Hall on the campus of the United States Naval Academy. The Falcons, now 1-6 on the season, were led by junior co-team captain Kaelin Immel who scored a season-high 24 points on the night. The Mids ended their three-game losing streak, improving to 3-3 on the season.
Immel, who has led the Falcons in scoring for three-straight games, left it all on the court, snagging six rebounds and dishing three assists while shooting 9-17 from the field in her attempt to rally the Falcons to victory. Immel has two 20-point games and five double-figure scoring marks this season. Immel, a native of Beaverton, Oregon, now has 952 career points, continuing her run to become the 16th all-time Falcon to achieve 1,000 career points.
Sophomore forward Riley Snyder dropped 12 points for her fifth double-figure scoring mark this season. Snyder shot 40-percent from the field and notched her fifth perfect game from the free throw line this season (4-4). Sophomore teammate Haley Jones record eight points and five rebounds on the night.

Navy, who turned the ball over six time in the first quarter, found their scoring rhythm, going on a 13-2 scoring run over nine minutes highlighted by a three-ball at the quarter buzzer.
Navy three-balls continued to fall in the second quarter, helping Navy to a 13-point lead by halftime. The Mids knocked down 8-14 three-point attempts in the first half of play, a mark just one shy of their single-game high this season. Air Force shooting improved to 46-percent from the field but the Falcons were unable to chase Navy down. Immel and Snyder led the Falcons in first half scoring with five points apiece. Allyah Marlett led the rebounding charge with five first-half boards.
The Falcons came out fired up in the second half, led by Immel who dropped nine points shooting 4-5 from the field on the quarter. Air Force cut to the Navy lead to as little as seven but closed the quarter trailing by eight, 47-39. Air Force shooting improved to 53-percent while the Navy three-ball slowed down to just one made in four attempts.
