Women's Hoops Takes on Long Beach State, Wednesday

Air Force women's basketball will tip off against Long Beach State at 7 p.m. PT/ 8 MT, in Walter Pyramid
GAME 11: AIR FORCE (2-8, 1-1 Mountain West) at LONG BEACH STATE (3-7, 0-0 Big West)

WHERE: Walter Pyramid - Long Beach, Calif.
Air Force continues action on the road with a pair of non-conference match ups against Long Beach State (Dec. 18) and Cal State Fullerton (Dec. 21). The game against Long Beach State marks the first meeting between the teams while the game against the Titans will be the fifth meeting. Air Force leads Fullerton 3-1 in the all-time series.
LAST GAME
Emily Conroe posted Air Force's first double-double of the season, leading the Falcons to a 68-61 comeback victory against Nevada in Mountain West Conference action, Saturday afternoon in the Virginia Street Gym. Air Force, who tallied its first-ever win against Nevada while playing in Reno, improve to 2-8 with a 1-1 mark in the league while the Wolf Pack drops to 4-3, 0-1 MWC.
Conroe, a junior co-team captain, had a stellar game as she scored a season-high 22 points and collected 11 rebounds while shooting 43-percent from the field and knocking down 8-8 attempts from the free throw line. Conroe now has four double-figure scoring marks and three double-figure rebounding marks on the season.
Nevada was led in scoring by Imani Lacy who tallied 13 points while teammate Nia Alexander led the Pack in rebounding with 14 boards. Nevada collected the 21 rebounds to Air Force's 14 in the first half; however, second half adjustments by the Falcons garnered a 25-18 rebounding advantage in the second half. Both teams snagged 39 rebounds on the game.
20-20 VISION
Riley Snyder posted two 20-point games this season, dropping game-high 20-point marks against No. 20 Tennessee and Wyoming. Kaelin Immel has the top-two Air Force scoring performances this season, posting a season-high 24 points at Navy and 23 points at Northern Colorado-- both marks were game-highs in their respective meetings. Conroe added the squad's fifth 20-point mark as she dropped 22 against Nevada in the MWC road opener.
IMMEL SETS THE STANDARD
Junior co-team captain Kaelin Immel has six-straight double-figure scoring marks and eight total on the season. She averages 14.2 PPG this year and has led the squad in scoring in three of the last six games. She is the seventh leading scorer in the MWC.
CHASING 1,000
Immel continues to climb the all-time career points ladder with 990 points scored to date, a mark that puts her seventh in the Div. I era and tied for 16th in the all-time record book. Immel is on track to become the 16th all-time Falcon to achieve 1,000 career points. The last Falcon to achieve the feat was Cortney Porter in the 2017-18 campaign.
WINTER IS COMING
Sophomore guard Cierra Winters had a career night in the Falcons' last game against Nevada, setting three personal career standards in just under 20 minutes on the floor, scoring 10 points, collecting six rebounds and dishing three assists. Winters shot 63-percent on the night and was responsible for two critical momentum swings on the game.
SNYDER SCORES
Sophomore forward Riley Snyder was the Falcons' leading scorer for the first five games of the season. Through said five games, she averaged a career-high 14.0 PPG.
Following a four-point hiccup against Portland (Nov. 23), Snyder has since regained scoring traction with four-straight double-figure performances, bumping her scoring average to 13.7 while notching her eighth double-figure scoring mark of the season at Nevada. Her game-high scoring performance against the abundantly tall Lady Vols garnered her Air Force Cadet Athlete of the Week honors. She rolled the momentum into the following game against Wyoming where she dropped another 20 in the conference opener. She is currently the eighth leading scorer in the conference.
Snyder makes her money at the free throw line where she is currently shooting .886 (31-35) this season, highlighted by seven perfect games at the line. She has the second-best free throw shooting-percentage in the MWC.
JONES AND CONROE ARE A PROBLEM
Air Force leads the MWC in offensive rebounds per game (15.7). Haley Jones and Emily Conroe are tied for sixth in the MWC in RPG (6.8 RPG). Jones is the second-leading offensive rebounder in the league (3.7 ORPG). Emily Conroe leads Air Force with three 10+ rebound performances this season and is sixth and ninth in the league in offensive and defensive boards, respectively.
Along with being some of the top rebounders in the MWC, Jones is fourth in the league in steals with 21 (2.1 SPG) and 10th in the MWC with 10 blocks (0.9 BPG). Conroe is tied for 10th in steals (1.6 SPG). As a squad the Falcons are fifth in the MW in steals (9.3 SPG).
