Air Force women’s basketball will take on San Diego State in the first round, Monday at 4:30 p.m. PT
ROUND ONE:
Air Force travels to Las Vegas to compete in the Mountain West Conference tournament, hosted by UNLV, beginning Sunday, March 10. The Falcons will play in game two as the No. 10-seed against No. 7-seed San Diego State who downed Nevada to take the seed Thursday night (Mar. 7). Game two is slated for a 4:30 PT start in the Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.
THE SERIES:
The Falcons and Aztecs will be meeting for the 46th time in program history with San Diego State leading the all-time series, 35-10.
-Air Force and San Diego State split the regular season, 1-1
-Air Force won the last meeting, 75-66, at USAFA on Jan. 30
-San Diego State rallied to beat Air Force, 70-61, in the first meeting of the season on Jan. 12

SNYDER EARNS MOUNTAIN WEST ALL-FRESHMAN NOD
Riley Snyder of Air Force women's basketball was named as one-of-five freshmen on the 2019 Mountain West All-Freshman team, announced by the conference office today.
Snyder, a six-foot forward out of Fruita, Colorado, is the Falcons' third leading scorer, averaging 9.9 points per game on the season and 10.4 points per game in league play. She has 13 double-figure scoring marks in 28 appearances, highlighted by a 22-point showing in the overtime win against Nevada, January 19. She has the most starts by any freshman on the squad (25) and averages 26.7 minutes of playing time per game.
LAST GAME:
The Air Force women's basketball team fell to Mountain West Conference regular-season champions Boise State, 80-60, Thursday evening (Mar. 7) in Clune Arena. The Falcons finalized their regular-season slate with an 8-21 overall record, 4-14 in league action.
Air Force was led by Riley Snyder and Kaelin Immel who scored 13 points apiece. Snyder added five rebounds and two assists to her stat line while Immel added an assist and a steal.
Freshman forward Haley Jones had another strong showing, snagging a game-high 11 rebounds while adding nine points, two blocks and two steals to her stat line. Emily Conroe, who leads the squad in rebounds, picked up seven boards and added six points and an assist to the final tally. She was perfect from the free-throw line as well (2-2).

Emily Conroe dropped 13 points and snagged 13 rebounds to lead Air Force to a 75-66 victory over San Diego State, Wednesday evening (Jan. 30) in Clune Arena.
Four Falcons scored in the double-figures, but it was Conroe who quietly led the charge with her first double-double of the season. Conroe also added two assists, two blocks and two steals to her stat line.
Sophomore co-team captain Kaelin Immel led the game with 16 points while also adding four rebounds, two steals and an assist to her stat count. She shot a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line.
The Falcon freshmen are proving to be trouble for MWC opponents as three of them combined for 33 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Haley Jones had a strong performance, scoring 12 points and collecting five rebounds. Jones shot 5-6 from the field on the game. Snyder, who has the most double-figure scoring games of any freshman, led the fourth-classmen with 15 points. She also added four rebounds to her stat line. Briana Autrey recorded eight points, three assists and three steals.
The Aztecs were led by Mallory Adams with 15 points. Air Force outshot the Aztecs, 48.1 percent to 39.8 percent, and collected two more rebounds, 37-55. Air Force's bench was good for 11 points while the Aztecs' bench produced 20.
