Air Force Returns Home to Host #7 Penn State

The Falcons will also host the Rocky Mountain Pride club to the Feb. 1 meet.
The 17th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team returns to action – and the Academy – this Saturday (Feb. 1), when it hosts No. 7 Penn State and the Rocky Mountain Pride at 4:00 p.m. (MT) inside the Cadet West Gym.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Backed by a season-high score of 405.900 in last week's win over Ohio State, Penn State is currently ranked seventh in the NCAA with a total season average of 399.883. The Nittany Lions, who are listed among the nation's top 10 in five of the six events, posted an NCAA-leading 70.400 on the pommel horse during its season-opening victory at the West Point Open. Individually, Stephen Nedororscik leads the nation on the pommel horse with a National Qualifying Average of 14.838 – an average more than 0.700 higher than the rest of the NCAA – and a NCAA-best, single meet tally of 15.500. Led by Nedororscik's No. 1 ranking, Penn State holds three of the nation's top seven individual NQA marks on the pommel horse, while a total of six gymnasts are listed among the NCAA top 10 across all events. This is first competition for the Rocky Mountain Pride.
AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
The Falcons are currently ranked 17th in the NCAA with a season average of 375.650, while the squad's best event ranking is a No. 13 placement in the still rings (64.150). Individually, Frankie Valentin is ranked 13th in the all-around following his season-opening 78.550 at the Rocky Mountain Open, while Noah Everett holds a top-25 ranking on the pommel horse with a National Qualifying Average of 13.200 (24th).

Air Force travels to San Antonio, Texas, next Saturday (Feb. 8) to face off with Army West Point and Navy at the annual All-Academy Championships.
