Frankie Valentin Concludes Action at Winter Cup Prelim

The junior tied for 25th on the pommel horse at the prestigious USNT selection meet.
LAS VEGAS – Air Force junior gymnast Frankie Valentin concluded the preliminary round of the Winter Cup Challenge with a 12.700 on the pommel horse this evening (Feb. 20) at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas. Valentin, one of only two current service academy gymnasts in the full invited field of 41, tied for 25th in his only event of the night.
Former Academy gymnast Timothy Wang, who currently represents the Air Force World Class Athlete Program and trains at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, tied for 21st in the all-around with a score of 78.800. His best individual placement came during a sixth-place performance on the floor exercise (14.000).
