Women's Gymnastics Hosts Seattle Pacific and Illinois State in Saturday tri-meet

THIS WEEK
Air Force returns to Cadet West Gym at the U.S. Air Force Academy to host a tri-meet with Seattle Pacific and Illinois State on Saturday, February 8. Action is slated for 2 p.m. MT. The event will serve as a Faculty and Staff Appreciation Meet.
UP NEXT
The Falcons continue action in the home gym as Air Force plays host to UC Davis and Wisconsin-Whitewater for a Pink Meet, Saturday (Feb. 15), at 2 p.m. MT. The Pink Meet will also serve as Colorado Club Day where club gymnasts 8th grade and under will have the chance to participate in the march-out as well as a chance to compete in a handstand contest as the conclusion of the meet. Young gymnasts wishing to take part in the march out should arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. All fans are encouraged to wear pink.
TOP SCORES
With two meets in the record books, Tyler Davis has the highest individual mark of the season, scoring 9.925 on the floor exercise on January 25th. Freshman Briona Carswell has the highest score on the balance beam, scoring a 9.850 in her collegiate debut. Senior team captain Anna Salamone has the top score in two events, scoring a 9.850 on the vault and 9.900 on the uneven bars. Davis, the Falcons' primary all-around gymnast, has scored as high as 39.075 this season.
As a squad, the Falcons posted their highest event score on the floor exercise (48.825). The best team score was registered in a tri-meet with No. 5 Denver and Ball State on Feb. 2. (193.825).
RTN RANKINGS
Tyler Davis has jumped up to 23rd in the nation in the floor exercise (9.888 avg), up five spots from last week's rankings. Salamone is in a four-way tie for No. 90 in the uneven bars, up 10 spots from last weekend. Air Force has moved up to No. 57, three positions up from last week. San Jose State has the highest team-rank in the MPSF at No. 44.

San Jose State leads the MPSF with an average score of 193.869 and a high score of 194.675. The Falcons are third of six teams with their current average of 191.825.
