
Falcons host Sacred Heart, Nov. 19-20 and Nov. 22-23

This Week: Air Force (3-6-1, 1-2-1 AHA) hosts the Sacred Heart Pioneers (3-4-3, 1-1-2 AHA) for four games in five days at the Cadet Ice Arena. The teams play Friday and Saturday (Nov. 19-20) and then Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 22-23).
Home Stand: After playing nine of the first 11 games on the road (including exhibition games), the Falcons are in the midst of eight straight home games, all conference games. The Falcons hosted Bentley, Nov. 12-13, and then will host Sacred Heart, Nov. 19-20 and 22-23, and Canisius, Dec. 3-4.
Series vs. Sacred Heart: Air Force and Sacred Heart have played 50 games and the Falcons hold a 27-16-7 lead in the series that began in 2000. Last season, the teams played just once and the Pioneers defeated the Falcons, 4-3 in overtime at Niagara's Dwyer Arena. SHU was won three straight over Air Force and is 7-1-1 in the last nine games against the Falcons. In games played at the Academy, Air Force is 15-5-2 all-time against the Pioneers. However, SHU has won four straight at Cadet Ice Arena.
About the Pioneers: Sacred Heart is 3-4-3 overall and 1-1-2 in conference play. The Pioneers beat Yale, 3-1, in an exhibition game on Nov. 13. In their last AHA series, the Pioneers skated to back-to-back 3-3 overtime ties at Mercyhurst, Nov. 5-6. SHU won both games in a shootout. Braeden Tuck leads the team with five goals and is tied with Austin Magera with nine points in 10 games. Goalie Justin Robbins, a transfer from Arizona State, has started eight of the 10 games and has a 2.39 GAA and a .915 saves percentage.

* Air Force scored the first goal of the game on Friday and is 2-0 when scoring first.
* Sophomore Will Gavin scored a goal in each game and leads the team with six.
* Sophomore defenseman Sam Brennan scored his second career goal on Friday and his second in his last two games. The goal was the first game-winner of his career.
* Sophomore Parker Brown had an assist on Friday and scored his first career goal on Saturday.
* Brown has scored in four straight games, the longest streak of his career.
* Andrew DeCarlo had a career high two assists on Saturday and had three in the series and was named AHA Rookie of the Week
* Brian Adams scored on Saturday and has a goal in three of his last five games.
* Freshman Austin Schwartz recorded his first career assist on Saturday
* Freshman Clayton Cosentino scored Air Force's first extra-attacker goal of the season. He is tied for second on the team with six points (2-4-6).
* Cosentino was 26-6 on the faceoff dot in the Bentley series
