Garrett Braunton Finishes 20th at Winter Cup

The freshman recorded a top-10 event finish on the high bar.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Air Force freshman Garrett Braunton tallied a 71.500 to finish 20th in the all-around at the Winter Cup Challenge on Friday, Feb. 26. Braunton, the Academy's only representative at the annual meet, held this year in Indianapolis, claimed a top-10 event finish on the high bar.
Braunton recorded a score of 13.050 on the high bar to finish 10th in the 23-gymnast field. The freshman also accounted for scores of 12.550 (floor exercise), 11.950 (pommel horse), 11.650 (still rings), 13.650 (vault) and 8.650 (parallel bars).
Former Falcon Tim Wang, an Air Force WCAP member, finished 18th with a score of 74.250.
