Air Force upended the Mountain West Conference regular season champions Fresno State, 88-65, handing the Bulldogs their first conference loss of the season and snapping their 14-game win streak. Air Force has now knocked off the league's top-two teams in the last two games.
The Falcons were led by Riley Snyder and Kaelin Immel who scored a game-high 22 points apiece. Snyder, who has scored 20 points or more in the last three games, shot a stellar 69-percent from the field (9-13) and 60-percent from three-point land (3-5). Immel notched her second-straight 20-point scoring performance while dishing out four assists and snagging five rebounds. Immel also knocked down a game-high six free throws.
The Air Force bench outscored the Fresno State bench, 20-11. The Falcons' key facilitator, Briana Autrey-Thompson, dished out a game high six assists and collected a career-best seven rebounds. She scored nine points for Air Force on the game. Emily Conroe rounded out the Falcons' double-digit scorers with 10 points while collecting seven rebounds and picking off a game-high three steals. Conroe was also perfect from the free throw line (4-4).
The Falcons handily out-rebounded the Bulldogs, 40-25, while picking off 11 steals. Air Force's defense held Fresno State 12 points shy of their season scoring average (77.0).
Fresno State was led by Haley Cavinder who scored 19 points in 40 minutes of action. Hanna Cavinder and Aly Gamez put up 15 and 13 points, respectively, and Maddi Utti picked up a team-high nine rebounds.
UP NEXT
Air Force returns to the Academy for the first of a six-game home stint, February 15. The Falcons will host Nevada in a two-game series on Monday (Feb. 15) and Tuesday (Feb. 16), with tip times of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force dropped a pair of games against UNLV at the Academy. On Friday (Feb. 5), the Lady Rebels narrowly escaped the Falcons in a 52-49 win. On Sunday (Feb. 7), UNLV fared a bit better, defeating Air Force, 68-57.

Air Force senior Kassady Huffman had a career night against UNLV (Feb. 5) as she blocked seven shots, setting Air Force's single-game record for blocked shots in the Division I era. With her first block of the game, Huffman denied her 96th shot, taking the seat as the program's leader in career blocks in the Division I era. Air Force's all-time shot blocks leader is Mary Manning (1981-85) with 122 career blocks.
Huffman leads the Mountain West (21st in the nation) in blocks with 35 rejections this season. She averages 2.33 blocks per game to lead the MW while ranking 26th across the nation. Air Force is third in the league in blocked shots (78).

The Falcons have picked off 177 steals this season, the most in the MW and eighth most in Division I women's basketball. Air Force point guard Briana Autrey-Thompson is the Falcons' second leading scorer after 15 games, averaging 12.4 points per game. She led the Falcons with a 25-point showing in the season-opener against Denver, marking a career-high performance for the junior out of Suffolk, Virginia. Two games later, she pushed her career scoring high to 26 points against Western Colorado. Autrey-Thompson has displayed her utility on both sides of the ball, averaging 4.5 assists per game (2nd in the MW) with 63 assists this season (7th in the MW) and averaging 3.07 steals per game (1st in MW, 16th in the NCAA).
SNYDER SCORES
Riley Snyder leads the Falcons in scoring, averaging 15.1 points per game so far this season, a mark that ties her for third in the Mountain West. She has four 20-point games and 10 games scoring in the double-digits this season. Snyder has also been one of the Falcons' most prolific shooters, knocking down 27 three-pointers this season. Snyder is also fifth in the league in field goals attempted (231).

Emily Conroe is climbing the all-time points ladder with 1,014 career points, a mark that ranks her eighth in the Div. I era., and making her the 17th all-time Falcon to reach the 1,000-point mark. She picked up her 500th career rebound at San Diego State (Feb. 8, 2020). She now has 678 career rebounds, 464 are defensive and 214 are offensive. Conroe is the sixth Falcon in Div. I history to achieve the 500-rebound feat. She is currently third in Div. I career rebounding.
