Young Runners Wrap Up Action at Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. – A small, predominantly freshman-based contingent of Air Force track athletes wrapped up action at the Jerry Quiller Classic this morning (March 20) in Boulder. The young squad competed in five events at Potts Field.

Rebecca Wusinich kicked off the day leading five Falcons in the 1500-meter run. The freshman posted a debut time of 4:46.25 to finish seventh in the 14-runner event, while sophomore Stephanie Gregersen (4:57.34), freshman Rachel Crytser (4:58.72), classmate Rayna Fruchey (5:00.03) and junior Adrianna Wilder (5:18.30) also made their outdoor debut in that event.

Freshman Jackson Connelly ran in both the men's 100-meter (10.86, third) and 200-meter (22.03) events, while classmate Zoe Iwu took part in those same two races on the women's side (12.72, 26.05). Freshman Glynne McGaughey joined Connelly in the 100-meter dash (11.20), while classmates Amanda Fraga and Jahson Ferguson made their outdoor debuts in the 400-meter dash (1:01.16) and 800-meter run (2:02.77), respectively.

Air Force returns to action next week (March 25-27), when it travels to San Diego for the Aztec Invitational.
