COVID-19 Update
-Current Department of Defense and Air Force Academy policies require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask when indoors in all Academy facilities, including the press box, Blue and Silver Club, suites, elevators and restrooms. All individuals who have not been fully vaccinated must also wear masks outdoors at all times while on the installation. Fans who are fully vaccinated and are not required to wear a mask when outdoors. Anyone with a COVID-19 diagnosis within the previous 10 days, or any symptoms suggestive of possible COVID-19, or a recent close contact with an individual known to be positive for COVID-19 should not come to the stadium. These policies will be constantly evaluated and any changes will be communicated.
Last Time Out
-After a slow start to Air Force's 2022 debut, the Falcons were defeated 194.950-191.975 by the Utah State Aggies. Even so, Air Force found its momentum as the meet developed, while a pair of freshmen opened eyes along the way.
-Ayla McKean and Genevieve Sabado competed in their first collegiate meet on Friday, and both performed with pizazz.
-McKean led the way for the Falcons in the vault, posting a team-high 9.750, good for a share of fourth-overall. She also scored a 9.700 in the floor exercise and a 9.625 in the uneven bars.
-Sabado also impressed in her collegiate debut, sharing second-overall in the balance beam after posting a 9.800. Previously named to the MPSF's Gymnasts to Watch List, Sabado managed a team-best 9.650 in the uneven bars, as well as a 9.525 in her floor exercise. Sabado was the lone gymnast to qualify for an all-around total, garnering a score of 38.475.
-Along with Sabado, Val Smith also finished with a 9.800 following her performance on the balance beam. Smith split second-overall in the event with Sabado and Utah State's Kielyn McCright.
-Also of note, Cameo Stapleton's 9.725 floor exercise score was tops among the Falcons.

"We showed lots of grit tonight," said head coach Jennifer Green. "First meet jitters were obvious,
however we settled down after bars and found our footing. I am proud of their fight and determination.
We have a young team and we are super excited to see what the future brings."
After Centenary College
Following Air Force's trip to Shreveport, the Falcons will make their home debut on Friday, January 28 when Alaska-Anchorage travels to USAFA. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 pm MT.
