THE SERIES WITH DU
The Falcons are 2-23 against the Pios in Division I lacrosse. Air Force's last win against DU was in 2009 where the Falcons outscored the Pioneers, 10-7, in Denver. The Falcons will take Peter Barton Stadium determined to end a 14-game cold streak against the in-state rivals.
LAST TIME THEY PLAYED
Last season's meeting originally scheduled to be played at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium was moved indoors to the Academy at the Holaday Athletic Center. Then 10th-ranked Denver pushed past Air Force, 15-6.
NEXT UP
Air Force continues action on the road as the Falcons travel to Hamilton, New York, to face off against Colgate for the first time since 1997. Action is slated for 12 p.m. ET at Crown Field at Andy Kerr Stadium.
LAST WEEKEND
Air Force fell to No. 1 Virginia, 21-11, in the 2022 season opener Saturday afternoon (Feb. 5), at Klöckner Stadium. The defending national champion Cavaliers battled back from an early deficit to stave off an aggressive Falcon lacrosse team.
Junior attackman Brandon Dodd led the Air Force offense against the back-to-back champs, netting four goals on 11 shots, six on cage. Dodd was one-of-six Falcons to find nylon against the stout UVA defense.
