COVID-19 Update
-Current Department of Defense and Air Force Academy policies require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask when indoors in all Academy facilities, including the press box, Blue and Silver Club, suites, elevators and restrooms. All individuals who have not been fully vaccinated must also wear masks outdoors at all times while on the installation. Fans who are fully vaccinated and are not required to wear a mask when outdoors. Anyone with a COVID-19 diagnosis within the previous 10 days, or any symptoms suggestive of possible COVID-19, or a recent close contact with an individual known to be positive for COVID-19 should not come to the stadium. These policies will be constantly evaluated and any changes will be communicated.
Last Time Out
-Air Force posted its highest team score since the 2019 MPSF Championships, as Air Force's 194.990 was good for second place among the three teams at the January 30 tri-meet against Alaska-Anchorage and UC-Davis.
-Briona Carswell posted not only the highest score among the Falcons in 2022, but she rewrote her career-high in the floor exercise following a 9.900. Her performance on the floor was rewarded with a first-place finish. Amber Boll was the top-placer in the uneven bars, scoring a 9.875.
-Genevieve Sabado and Ayla McKean finished first and third in regards to the all-around, managing respective overall totals of 38.825 and 38.325. Sabado's highest-scoring event was the floor exercise, where she garnered a 9.800, while McKean's floor routine resulted in a 9.850.
-Daija Stevenson placed second following her routine on the balance beam, as she was judged for a 9.825. Velandra Brochi placed in one of her three events, sharing third overall in the floor exercise (9.875). Grace Nelson also was among the Falcons to place in her respective apparatus, where was given a 9.800 on the bars.
-During the Sunday's tri-meet, Air Force reset new season-highs in the uneven bars (49.975) and the floor exercise (49.125).
Carswell and McKean Did Their Thing
-Following Air Force's two home meets over the weekend, a pair of Falcons were recognized by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for their respective performances.
-Ayla McKean was named MSPF Freshman of the Week after totaling a winning and career-high 39.100 all-around in the Falcons' dual win over Alaska-Anchorage on January 28. McKean also took first-place on vault (9.675), shared the top spot on the uneven bars (9.825), placed second on floor (9.825), and third on the balance beam (9.775). In the tri-meet with Alaska-Anchorage and UC-Davis on January 30, McKean recorded impressive scores of 9.75 on vault, 9.80 on bars, and 9.85 on floor. This is the first career MPSF honor for McKean.
-Briona Carswell was named MPSF Specialist of the Week after placing second on the balance beam (9.80) in the Falcons' dual win over Alaska-Anchorage on January 28 before tying the MPSF season-high with a first-place and career-high 9.90 on floor during Sunday's tri-meet with Alaska-Anchorage and UC-Davis. Her routine led the Falcon floor squad to an MPSF season-high 49.125 total. This is the fifth career MPSF weekly award for Carswell.

After Sacramento State
Following Air Force's dual with MPSF foe Sacramento State, the Falcons will again hit the road for further conference action against San Jose State on Friday, February 11. The event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm MT.
