-The Falcons defeated the Spartans 3-2 in double-overtime at Cadet Soccer Stadium a season ago.
-Air Force is 1-4 all-time in San Jose, having last won 2-1 at San Jose State in 1996.
-Air Force has compiled a 2-8-1 record versus Fresno State.
-The Falcons were beaten 2-1 in a home loss a season ago.
-Air Force bested Fresno State for the time on the road in 2019 by a 1-0 score, which also represents the most recent meeting between the two teams in Fresno.
Last Time Out
-Crafting a strong team performance on both sides of the pitch, Air Force concluded its out-of-conference schedule with a 1-0 win over Nebraska-Omaha on September 18.
-After a scoreless first-half, Air Force wasted little time making its mark after the halftime break. Raine Komata picked up her second goal of the season in the 47th minute, assisted by Alexa Ramthun. The goal becomes Komata's second game-winner in the Falcons three wins, while Ramthun's assist was the first of her collegiate career.
-The Falcons did implement a gameplan based on depth, as Air Force saw 14 players compile at least 40 minutes on the pitch.
-Coach Busby's group was the more offensive side, providing eight shots in both halves. Air Force managed nine shots on goal to just three for the Mavericks, with Jenna Rubidoux leading the Falcons with two shots on goal. The Falcons nine shots on goal came from eight different players.
From Coach Busby after Nebraska-Omaha
-"It's always tough to pick up points on the road, and today was no different in the heat. We had to utilize a lot of players off the bench and I thought this was a total team effort. "We looked more dangerous in the final third throughout the second-half, and credit to our freshman Raine Komata for netting another game-winner. We still have a lot of work to do but I feel really positive about where we are heading into Mountain West play."
Raine Maker
-Freshman Raine Komata leads Air Force with two goals, the only player on the roster with more than one score.
-Both of Komata's goals this season have resulted in game-winning scores.
-Four of her six shots are considered on goal.
Class on Defense
-Air Force is tied for the fourth-lowest goals against average in the Mountain West, allowing just 1.29 goals in seven matches.
-The Falcons two clean sheets this season are tied for the second-most in the conference.
Ol' Reliable
-Defender Stella Rubidoux is the only Air Force player to have accummulated all 630 minutes of available time on the pitch in all six matches this season.
Start 'em Young
-Seven of Air Force's 13 freshmen have seen playing time on the pitch in 2022.
-Caeli Sherman leads all of the Falcons first-year players with 431 minutes.
