THE SERIES
The 2023 season marks Queens' inaugural year in Division I lacrosse making it the first meeting for both programs. The Falcons and Royals have not yet had a common opponent. Service academy rival Navy bested Queens 19-5 in their season opener.
A GLANCE AT QUEENS
The Royals are led by primary offensive facilitators Jack Royer (6g, 11a) and Micah Stechmiller (9g, 2a). In cage, William Powley has the lion's share of action with a .444 save percentage and 13.50 goals against average. Jacob Martin is the Royals' primary face off man, winning .446 (37-83) so far this season.
AIR FORCE SCORING
The Falcons are led in scoring by seniors Ethan Grandolfo and Brandon Dodd with 23 combined goals so far this season—both tallying three hat tricks apiece in the 2023 campaign. Dodd, who has 13 goals so far, led the ASUN in total goals last season. Grandolfo has 10 goals and a hat trick in the last three games. Falcon sophomore Jash Yago leads the squad with seven assists.

Senior goalie Jason Rose has the second-best save percentage (.529) and saves per game (12.00) in the ASUN. He allows an average of 10.93 goals per game, the fourth best mark in the conference. Junior defender Chris Bardak leads the squad with 2.00 caused turnovers per game, a mark that ranks him second in the ASUN and seventh in the NCAA.

On Monday, the Falcons take on Duke at Koskinen Stadium at 7 p.m. ET. The Falcons have won three of the last five meetings against the perennial powerhouse Blue Devils.
LAST WEEKEND
Air Force outscored Bryant, 11-6, holding the Bulldogs to their lowest scoring output of the season, Saturday afternoon at the Air Force Academy.
Bryant (4-2), came to town on a three-game win streak, boasting the fifth-best goals per game average in the NCAA (15.60). The Falcon defense was up to the task, causing 10 of Bryant's 20 turnovers on the game. The defense was anchored by Chris Bardak who caused two turnovers and scooped up three ground balls. Bardak displayed his utility on both sides of the ball by scoring one goal and assisting in another. Jason Rose had a solid day in cage, making 11 saves while holding the Bulldogs scoreless in the first quarter.
The Air Force offense was led by Ethan Grandolfo who notched his third hat trick of the season before half time. Eight Falcons put up goals; Aidan Tolen scored two while Brandon Dodd, Gavin and Wes Peene, Shad Bruce, Chris Bardak and Braden Gaab notched one apiece. The Falcons were perfect in extra man opportunities (2-2).
