Falcons Conclude Action at Mike Fanelli Track Classic

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Air Force captured a pair of top-five finishes in the hurdles this afternoon (April 1), as four members of the track team wrapped up competition at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco.
Junior Phil Hundl clocked a season-best time of 14.65 to finish fifth out of 31 runners in the 110-meter hurdles, while sophomore Charles Whitcomb clocked his best time of 2023 (56.41) to earn the same placement in the 400-meter hurdle event.
Backed by the top-five marks from Hundl and Whitcomb, all four Falcons at Cox Stadium earned top-10 finishes on Saturday. Senior Jacob Trach clocked a career-best time of 10.83 to finish sixth out of 75 sprinters in the 100-meter dash, while junior Alex Patton used a time of 1:52.70 to finish seventh out of 121 runners in the 800-meter run.
Air Force returns to Colorado next week, as it heads to Greeley for the Tom Benich Invitational on April 8.
