Falcons Return Home to Host Ralph Lindeman Classic
1/18/2024 10:13:00 AM | Track and Field
The Air Force track and field team returns to action – and the Academy – this weekend, when it welcomes five teams to the Cadet Field House for the second Ralph Lindeman Classic on Jan. 19-20.
HONORING A LEGEND
This week's Ralph Lindeman Classic is named in honor of the Falcons' former head coach who passed away unexpectedly in March 2022 during his 33rd season at the Academy. From the very first day he stepped on to the Air Force track in 1989, the Falcons benefitted from his leadership and love of coaching to become one of the most recognized intercollegiate programs at the Air Force Academy. Additional information on Coach Lindeman's incredible coaching career can be found on Page 3 of the attached release.
MEET INFORMATION
In its 34th year, the meet – formerly known as the Air Force Invitational – will feature teams from Air Force, Chadron State, Colorado, Long Beach State, UC Davis and Wyoming. The two-day competition, which begins on Friday, Jan. 19, will be held at the Cadet Field House Indoor Track. A complete schedule of events is listed below. Admission is free both days and fans must adhere to the Academy's "Clear Bag Policy".
