Air Force Travels to Berkeley for Quad Meet

Air Force at Cal with Nebraska and Stanford
12 pm PT, Sunday, March 3
Haas Pavilion – Berkeley, Calif.
The Falcons will compete against No. 2 Stanford, No. 5 Nebraska, and No. 8 Cal, Sunday afternoon. Stanford has the top three-score team averages on the floor, pommel, rings, p bar, and all around. Nebraska holds the top three-score averages on vault and high bar.
On another front, junior pommel specialist Patrick Hoopes will be competing with the national team in Baku, Azerbaijan, following his win at the Winter Cup Challenge, last weekend. He has a three-score average of 14.933 in the event and holds the Academy record with a 15.200.
Next weekend, the Falcons return to the Academy to host Stanford in dual action, Saturday (Mar. 9), in Cadet West Gym. Action is slated for 2 p.m. MT.
The last time Air Force was competing as a team, the Falcons posted a season-high 397.250 to best Navy (390.100) and Army (382.500) at the All-Academies. Air Force retained the inter-service rivalry title for the second-straight year and for the sixth time in the last 10 competitions.
