Falcons at a Glance:
Air Force, after scoring a pair of wins in their first two games inside Clune Arena, looks to extend its streak with a road win over UCSD on Saturday.
Air Force scoring is currently paced by senior Milahnie Perry (15.0) and junior Jordyn Devaughn (10.4). Through the first five games, the Falcons top the Mountain West in turnover margin (+8.40, 37th nationally), are second compared to league opponents in both turnovers forced per game (20.80, 84th nationally) and turnovers per game (12.4, 34th nationally).
Last Time Out:
Air Force Women's Basketball set the tone early on Tuesday evening against Portland State, pushing a big lead in the opening minutes which held throughout, as the Falcons downed the Vikings 65-55 in Clune Arena. The win lifts Air Force to 2-0 in Clune Arena this season after downing Manhattan College in the Falcons' home debut on Saturday night.
Senior Milahnie Perry finished with a game and season high 20 points. Freshman Bhret Clay finished the evening with 11 points on 4-8 shooting from the field and a 3-5 finish from beyond the arc. The Falcon newcomer tied Jayda McNabb with a team-high six rebounds while adding a game high three steals, marking her third game with three or more takeaways to date. Junior Jordyn Devaughn finished with 10 points, earning her fourth double-digit finish in the Falcons' first five games.
The Mortar Between the Bricks:
Jayda McNabb has been a steadying force for the Falcons throughout her years at the Academy. As a sophomore, McNabb averaged 7.9 points per game in 2024-25 and earned six double doubles, leading the Falcons in rebounding while finishing ranked second in the Mountain West on the offensive glass.
This year, McNabb currently leads the Mountain West in total rebounds (36) and ranks 17th nationally in offensive rebounding. McNabb has posted double-digit scoring in both of the Falcons' last two games and is averaging 6.9 ppg. McNabb is +36 in net plus/minus to date this season, a team high.
A Boost from the Bench:
Bhret Clay and Jordyn Devaughn have opened 2025-26 in convincing fashion, providing a substantial boost from the Falcon bench. Clay, in her first five games, leads Air Force in three-point production, shooting an even 8-16 (.500) to date. On the defensive end, Clay also leads Air Force in steals, averaging 2.6 steals per game and currently ranking sixth in the Mountain West in takeaways. Devaughn, Air Force's second-highest scorer to open the season, enters Saturday's game at UCSD with four double-digit outings in the Falcons' first five games.
This Time, We'll Come to You:
In a return game from Air Force's home win over UCSD last season, the Falcons make their first-ever trip to La Jolla, facing the host Tritons for just the second time in program history.
In their first-ever meeting last season, Air Force battled with the Tritons at home, scrapping out a 67-64 win over UCSD in Clune Arena on Nov. 22. UCSD took a late lead in that game, but Air Force managed to overcome the Tritons' late advantage to take the win. McNabb (17 points) and Perry (15 points) led Air Force scoring in the contest, with the Falcons' pressure defense forcing UCSD into 29 turnovers, ultimately proving a season high for the Tritons.
