Air Force Track & Field Heads to Texas for Two Meets

The Air Force track and field team caps a spring break training trip to Texas with a pair of competitions on March 27-29. The majority of the team will compete at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, while a small group will represent the Academy at the 97th-annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin.

MEET INFORMATION – BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
The Bobcat Invitational will take place at the Texas State Track and Field Complex (1100 Aquarena Springs Dr) in San Marcos. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for seniors (65+) and children up to 12. Spectators must also plan to purchase parking for Thursday and Friday at Pay-to-Park stations or in advance at the link above (parking is free on Saturday). Live results will be provided by AdkinsTrak.
MEET INFORMATION – CLYDE LITTLEFIELD TEXAS RELAYS
The 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays will be held at Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer. Admission and parking can be purchased online, via the links above. Fans must adhere to the stadium's "Clear Bag Policy". The meet will be broadcast live on the Longhorn Network, while stats will be available through the Relays' site.
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Texas Tanner is ranked third in the NCAA following his outdoor-opening hammer throw of 240'11" at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational on March 21.
TANNER, JENKINS NAB WEEKLY MOUNTAIN WEST AWARDS
03-25-25 | Texas Tanner and Asher Jenkins were honored by the Mountain West on March 25, following their strong starts to the outdoor season, Tanner was named the MW Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the third time of his career, while Jenkins picked up his first MW Men's Freshman of the Week award.
WHAT'S ON DECK
The Falcons split for three meets next week (April 4-5). Air Force will send its distance squad to Northern California for the Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Track Classic, while the rest of the team will head to Boulder for the Colorado Invitational.
