Falcons Split for Two Weekend Meets

The Air Force cross country team is back in action this weekend, when the squad splits for a pair of competitions. The majority of the group, which includes the 24th-ranked men, will head to Columbia, Mo., for the Gans Creek Classic on Friday, Sept. 26, while a handful of athletes will remain in Colorado Springs for the Ted Castaneda Classic on Saturday, Sept. 27.
MEET INFORMATION
The seventh-annual Gans Creek Classic will be held on the grounds of the Gans Creek Cross Country Course (3350 E. Gans Road) in Columbia, Mo., over the Sept. 26-27 weekend. Six collegiate races (gold, black, open) will take place on Friday, Sept. 26, with Air Force competing in the "Gold" races at 9:00 a.m. (women's 6K) and 9:45 a.m. (men's 8K). Results will be available via Prime Time Timing, while the meet will be streamed live on the SEC Network+.

Junior Allen, Zach Ayers, Benjamin Davenport, Matthew Edwards, Patrick Lawson, Tanner Lindahl, Brenton Maddox, Jayden Nats, Josh Razo, Dominykas Remeikis and Saketh Rudraraju are currently slated to travel to Missouri for the 24th-ranked men, while Carrigan Eberly, Rachel Fereday, Ricky Fetterolf, Carly Foster, Anna Harden, Ella Johnson, India Jones, and Eleanor Raker are scheduled to travel for the women.

The men and women are both slated to compete in the Gold Championship races, along with Alabama, Butler (men only), BYU (men), Colorado, Duke, Eastern Kentucky (men), Florida, Furman, Gonzaga (men), Iowa State, Iona (men), Lipscomb, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Montana State (men), Nebraska (women), Northern Arizona, Navy (men), Ohio State (women), Oklahoma (women), Ole Miss, Oregon(women), Oregon State (women), Princeton, Stanford, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas Tech (men), Toledo (women), Tulane, Tulsa (men), UCLA (women), Utah (women), Utah Valley (women), Vanderbilt (women), Virginia, Wake Forest, Washington State, and Weber State.

The Ted Castaneda Classic will take place at North Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs on Saturday, Sept. 27. The men will run an 8K race beginning at 9:00 a.m. (MT), while the women will follow with a 6K circuit one hour later. Street parking is available for spectators next to the park along Culebra Avenue and admission is free. Results will be available via Heartland Timing.

CREEDON NAMED MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
09-23-25 | Following an impressive collegiate debut at the Woody Greeno / Jay Dirksen Invitational on Sept. 20, Christopher Creedon was named the Mountain West Cross Country Freshman of the Week on Sept. 23 – marking the Falcons' first freshmen honoree in two years.
THE NEXT COURSE
The Falcons are off from competition until Friday, Oct. 10, when they travel to Springfield, Ore., for the Bill Dellinger Invitational at Pine Ridge Golf Club.
