Falcons Cornering Top MW Honors:
Air Force's Women's Gymnastics' go-to all-arounders dominated the week two Mountain West Gymnast of the Week honors, earning a piece or more of all five top accolades bestowed by the league.
Sophomore Alyssa Bigler was named Mountain West Co-Specialist of the Week in both balance beam (9.850) and floor exercise (9.900), matching the week two high scores across the league. At the Falcons's quad in New Hampshire over the weekend, Bigler's 9.900 on floor proved a career best while leading Air Force to a 49.000 finish in the event.
Junior Maggie Slife's spot continues to garner national attention, as the reigning Mountain West Gymnast of the Year was named league Gymnast of the Week for the second consecutive week. Slife added MW Vault, Bars and a share of Floor Specialist of the Week honors with teammate Bigler to the extensive list of career accolades linked to her already. In Hew Hampshire, Slife earned at least a share of first place in three of four events on Sunday, closing competition with a 39.425 all-around score, besting the field by .125 while tying the third-best all-around finish in Air Force history.
At the Peak:
Slife currently ranks seventh in the nation as an all around gymnast, placing her not just at the top of the Mountain West but 11 spots ahead of the next non-Power Four gymnast.
Last Time Out:
In a four-team competition on Sunday afternoon in Durham, it was a race to the top between Air Force Women's Gymnastics and the host New Hampshire Wildcats. The Falcons closed the quad with a second-place, 193.950, beating out Iowa State (192.900) and the University of Bridgeport (191.800) in UNH's Whittemore Center.

Air Force caught an early lead in competition, opening with an electric, 49.000 collective performance on floor exercise. Bigler and Slife shined for the Falcons, both scoring a 9.900, marking a new career high for Bigler and Slife's seventh career 9.900 or better on floor. 9.900 proved good for a four-way share of first place.
The Falcons' lead held through vault after scoring a 48.775 – The highest vault score of the day. Slife and Bigler both stuck a Yurchenko one-and-a-half, ending in a second 9.900 for Slife and 9.800 earned by Bigler.
