Perry's 16.8 scoring average currently tops the Mountain West.
Last Time Out:
Students from elementary schools across the Colorado Springs area got a show at Field Trip Day on Wednesday afternoon in Clune Arena, as Air Force Women's Basketball persevered over Wyoming, picking up a 69-61 overtime win over the Cowgirls.
For the game, senior Emily Adams led all scorers with 18 points (8-13 FG, 1-1 3FG, 1-3 FT, 7 REB). Junior Jordyn Devaughn closed the game with a season high 16 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 3FG, 6-6 FT, 7 REB). Senior Milahnie Perry and junior Jayda McNabb both ended the day with nine points apiece, with McNabb adding to the Falcon stat sheet a game-high eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and a pair of blocks. Freshman Eva Love, playing in just her fifth career game, earned a career-high 28 minutes and finished with nine points – five of which were scored in overtime.
Air Force dominated the extra period, outscoring Wyoming 10-2 on the way to its first win over the Cowgirls since the 2021-22 season. A Bhret Clay three and back-to-back breakaway layups for Love earned the Falcons a quick 66-59 lead. The Falcons held Wyoming to 1-7 from the field in overtime, sealing the Falcons' eighth home win of the season.
Air Force (13-15, 7-11 MW) topped Wyoming (9-18, 6-12 MW) in field goal attempts (67), three-pointers made (five) and attempted (18), offensive rebounds (nine), steals (11), points off of turnovers (19), second-chance points (eight), fast-break points (11) and bench points (17).
Adams' Upswing:
In her last 11 games, senior Emily Adams has averaged 12.8 points, marking the most productive stretch of her Air Force career. Adams' 10 double-digit games in 2025-26 marks the most in a single season for the soon-to-be Falcon graduate. On Feb. 4 in Air Force's win against Utah State, Adams finished with a 23-point, 12 rebound double-double. The senior's marquis finish against the Aggies represented her first career double-double, first 20-point finish and also career highs both in rebounds (12) and field goals made in a single game (eight).
The Key Difference:
In seven of its last nine wins, Air Force has led its respective opponents in rebounding.
The Mortar Between the Bricks:
Jayda McNabb has been a steadying force for the Falcons throughout her years at the Academy. As a sophomore, McNabb averaged 7.9 points per game in 2024-25 and earned six double doubles, leading the Falcons in rebounding while finishing ranked second in the Mountain West on the offensive glass.
This season, McNabb leads the MW and currently ranks ninth nationally in offensive rebounding (4.1 rpg). As a result, Air Force has led or tied opponents in second-chance points in 17 games. McNabb is also third in the league in total boards (7.8 rpg) and second among Mountain West players in steals per game (2.32).
Sporting 633 career rebounds, McNabb is 16 away from overtaking Dymond James (2009-13) for 9th all time and fourth in Air Force's Division I history.
The Summit Is in Sight:
Perry secured third all-time in career scoring in Air Force's Feb. 14 win over San Jose State, surpassing Falcon alumna Stacey Goss (1982-86) for the distinction. Now sporting 1,697 career points and 437 for the season, Perry is 10 points away from claiming second all time (Michelle Johnson, 1,706) and 42 shy of the all-time career scoring record with two regular season games to go. Perry is currently the Division I record holder in field goals made (616) and is all-time in field goal attempts (1,588).
*Represents Air Force Division I record.
In consecutive seasons, Perry scored the third and fourth most points ever by a Falcon in a single year – figures which rank first and second for a player in Air Force's Division I history (1996-current).
Mile-High Trends:
Air Force is currently:
8-1 when sporting a halftime lead;
9-2 when holding opponents to 60 points or less (4-0 at home);
9-3 when landing more three-point baskets (5-1 at home).
Through the last four seasons, Air Force is:
37-20 at home;
39-5 when scoring 70 or more points (26-1 at home);
8-1 when scoring 80 or more points (7-0 at home);
8-1 when shooting 50 percent or better from the field (4-0 at home);
29-8 when holding opponents to 60 points or less (17-2 at home);
25-10 when out-rebounding opponents (15-4 at home);
23-7 when outscoring opponents in the paint (16-2 at home).
