No. 12 Air Force Set to Host USAG Collegiate Nationals

Championship season begins at home for the 12th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team this weekend, as the Falcons return to the Academy to host the 2026 USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships on March 20-21.
MEET INFORMATION
The USAG Collegiate Nationals, which will feature Air Force, Army West Point, Greenville, Navy, Simpson, Springfield, and William & Mary, will take place on March 20-21 at Cadet West Gym. The team finals will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, while the individual event finals will start at 1:00 pm on Saturday. Admission is free, but spectators will need to register for base access (see note below). The meet will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network, while live scoring will be available each day via Virtius (direct links are available below and on the team's schedule page at GoAirForceFalcons.com).

BASE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The U.S. Air Force Academy has adjusted the process to access the installation, which will affect the USAG Collegiate Nationals. While the installation remains open for events, if you do not have a DoD ID card, you will need to obtain a pass to enter the base. Spectators must request a base pass (LINK). Once you register, you will receive a message on your phone about approval. Each adult requesting a base pass must present a valid driver's license to scan at the gate. Spectators under the age of 18, with an approved adult, are allowed to access the base for athletic events.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
Based on four-score averages, the seven teams competing this weekend are listed ninth through 15th in the national standings– Navy (309.917), Greenville (309.233), Springfield (307.217), Air Force (306.067), Army West Point (306.033), William & Mary (305.250), and Simpson (300.050). Navy is ranked second, nationally, on the floor exercise with a 54.150 mark, while Army West Point is ranked third on the pommel horse (53.083) and Greenville is listed sixth on both the vault (55.033) and parallel bars (52.433). Individually, Navy's Benjamin Thurlow Lam leads the NCAA on the floor exercise – the only gymnast in that event to have a 14+ four-score average (14.033). Springfield's Deon Felsenstein and Army's Maddox Pabellon are ranked third (14.133) and fourth (14.083), respectively, on the pommel horse, while Springfield's Blaise Rousseau (still rings) and Greenville's Jaxon Clapper (parallel bars) hold No. 5 national rankings behind matching four-score marks of 13.800.

As a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, Air Force is the only team in the USAG Collegiate Nationals field that is not a member of the ECAC.

AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
The Falcons are ranked 12th in the NCAA, with a four-score average of 306.067, while holding top-10 event rankings on the parallel bars (ninth, 51.100) and pommel horse (10th, 52.033). Individually, Sam Brown is ranked eighth in the nation on the pommel horse with a four-score average of 14.000, while Jack Matlock is just behind him with a 13.650 mark (12th).
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
While the rest of this weekend's contenders will head to New York for the ECAC Championships, Air Force travel to the opposite coast for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. The Falcons will be to Berkeley, Calif., on Saturday, April 4, to face their conference counterparts from No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Stanford and No. 8 California.
