Huntington leads Falcons on first day in Oregon

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Junior Eli Huntington led the Air Force golf team on the first day of the Bandon Dunes Championship, Sunday, March 8, at the Pacific Dunes Course in Bandon, Ore.
Huntington matched his career-low score with a 67 (-4) to lead the Falcons. Huntington made five birdies, with just one bogey, and is in sixth place overall. Freshman Ben Zeiler made four birdies and is tied for 27th with a one-under 70. Seniors Ted Davenport shot 75, Brooks Morrell shot 76 and Eric Liveringhouse shot 77. Carson Baker, competing as an individual, shot 79.
Oregon State leads the field with a 263 (-21), followed by Oregon at 268 (-16) and Utah Tech at 279 (-5). Air Force is tied for 12th at 288 (+4). The 288 is the team's third best round of the season.
The second round of the Bandon Dunes Championship begins at 7:45 am PT on Monday, March 8, in Bandon, Ore.
